We traveled from the USA and stayed in many Airbnb’s. Karla’s place hands down was the nicest. Loved the decor, super clean, top notch everything. We had wished we stayed there the entire time.

Very warm and welcoming check in, old charming thatched cottage that has been completely renovated and updated, fabulous restaurant in an old church just a short walk away - the perfect holiday home!

We were incredibly happy with our stay at Connell's House! It is superbly comfortable, beautifully decorated, warm, spacious, immaculately clean and has everything you can think is provided! We loved the spacious kitchen and the big table; the incredibly comfy living room with its soft couches, wonderful sense of space and cosiness. Each one of the bedrooms were glorious with utterly blissful beds. The garden and picnic tables outside are so lovely too. Fluffy towels, glorious shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, as much cookware as you could ever need, soft lights in every room, and a rapidly responsive heating system. Everyone had their own beautiful bathroom and a big deep bath for the restful soak! The creativity, consideration and intelligence, with which this house has been renovated is absolutely world class and we would love if Karla would take on another such project and bring more of our precious heritage back to life! Amazing place to stay about 40 minutes from Dublin city by car. Nice little town and very close to the Newgrange, an amazing World Heritage site. Karla has thought about everything and left nothing to chance. Great property. Thanks so much, we’ll be back!

We are really impressed by Connell's Barn. It is a beautiful, very clean and welcoming house. The descriptions and suggestions from Karla were great. We had no problems to find the barn or anything we needed. Duleek is a nice small town and a good starting point for trips to sights around the the east coast.

Tribe is famed for their delicious sourdough pizza, cocktails and welcoming atmosphere. The menu is always evolving and includes their own home grown vegetables, Irish beef and seafood, as well as ingredients from many of the local food producers in the Boyne Valley. Situated in a beautifully restored church, it’s a unique place to start your holiday!

To Explore

Dublin City

Dublin City is full of interesting sights and characters and makes a great day trip. The city centre has been transformed in the last 20 years. Neighbourhoods that were once run down have become gentrified with contemporary buildings and trendy shops and cafes. There are some spectacular period buildings alongside some cutting edge modern architecture. The city centre is small and easy to explore on foot, although you can hop on a tram to the Docklands or the Phoenix Park to explore further afield.
