Karla is the most attentive host and is super helpful from start to finish. She has some wonderful local recommendations that I would definitely suggest should be experienced. We hope to return here time and time again. What a hidden gem!

We travel full time and stay in Airbnbs 90% of the time. This was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed! No problem parking right outside. There was a grocery store around the corner, a fantastic restaurant next door called TRIBE, a lovely pub on Main Street and a great Farm Cafe (Sage & Stone) only 5 minutes away by car. When we booked Connell’s House, we had never visited Ireland, so we weren’t too sure what to expect or if this would be a good location to stay for a holiday home base. Our expectations were exceeded and then some. This home is absolutely stunning. It was very clean and Karla provides every amenity you could possibly want. It was the perfect location for our family and it offered some peace and tranquility after long days site seeing in the bigger cites. It was very convenient to drive from Dublin airport and it was easy to plan day trips from this location. Karla was an amazing host, making us feel special from the beginning, with a welcome basket of local goodies and fresh milk in the fridge, we felt right at home when we arrived. If you plan on visiting Ireland, don’t hesitate on renting Karla's home. It is stunning, functional, sparkling clean, and all around a beautiful home to call yours for your vacation. Karla responds quickly to any questions you might have and we appreciated the in depth book of recommendations for Ireland, that she has on the coffee table. We throughly enjoyed our stay in Ireland and this home just added to the beauty of that. We will definitely be coming back to stay here in the future!

Dublin City

Dublin City is full of interesting sights and characters and makes a great day trip. The city centre has been transformed in the last 20 years. Neighbourhoods that were once run down have become gentrified with contemporary buildings and trendy shops and cafes. There are some spectacular period buildings alongside some cutting edge modern architecture. The city centre is small and easy to explore on foot, although you can hop on a tram to the Docklands or the Phoenix Park to explore further afield.

If you fancy stretching your legs whilst on holiday in the Boyne Valley there are several walking trails nearby. Enjoy woodland and river walks on the Boyne Valley Camino or hiking in Slieve Gullion Forrest Park. For the more adventurous walker why not climb Ireland’s 'Stairway to Heaven' at Cuilcagh Mountain for some breathtaking sights.
