We stayed in several VRBO rentals throughout Scotland and Ireland on this trip, and Connell's House was by far our favourite!!! Very warm and welcoming check in, old charming thatched cottage that has been completely renovated and updated, fabulous restaurant in an old church just a short walk away - the perfect holiday home!

We were incredibly happy with our stay at Connell's House! It is superbly comfortable, beautifully decorated, warm, spacious, immaculately clean and has everything you can think is provided! We loved the spacious kitchen and the big table; the incredibly comfy living room with its soft couches, wonderful sense of space and cosiness. Each one of the bedrooms were glorious with utterly blissful beds. The garden and picnic tables outside are so lovely too. Fluffy towels, glorious shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, as much cookware as you could ever need, soft lights in every room, and a rapidly responsive heating system. Everyone had their own beautiful bathroom and a big deep bath for the restful soak! The creativity, consideration and intelligence, with which this house has been renovated is absolutely world class and we would love if Karla  would take on another such project and bring more of our precious heritage back to life! Karla’s home was perfect! We had a total of 6 adults and 2 kids staying in the house and 2 adults and 2 kids staying in the barn. Karla was an amazing hostess! Very communicative and helpful. Her home was extremely clean and perfectly located near Main Street, so we were able to walk to pick up anything we needed. Everyone we met in the village was so nice and friendly. Karla provided so much helpful information and her home had everything we needed. My nephew got married at Slane Castle and it was only a 15 minute car ride away; except when we were stopped because cows were crossing the road! That added another 5-10 minutes, but that’s Ireland!!! I could go on and on about Karla, her beautiful home and Duleek, but this was the BEST Airbnb we have ever experienced!

We traveled from the USA and stayed in many Airbnb’s. Karla’s place hands down was the nicest. Loved the decor, super clean, top notch everything. We had wished we stayed there the entire time.

We had an exceptional experience at Connell’s House & Barn. Karla was extremely helpful and the accommodation was absolutely beautiful. We had a rare family gathering with 14 of us staying in the house and barn. The buildings are beautifully restored. All the rooms are comfortable and finished beautifully. Both kitchens are very well equipped . We were fortunate to have fantastic weather and spent lots of time in the lovely garden. I would highly recommend this lovely place.
