What our guests think

If you are looking for the perfect Airbnb experience this is it. The barn is beautiful and much nicer than the pictures. It is beautifully laid out and the extra touches were very welcome, such as locally made soap, shampoo, conditioner etc. As well as tea, coffee, biscuits and nibbles. I particularly loved the book charting the renovation of the house & barn. What vision Karla had to transform it to its current state. 5 stars all the way. Loved it.

Rosaleen, UK - Connell’s Barn

Connell’s Barn was super clean, warm, cosy and comfortable. A really well designed and stylish space and only 15 minutes from Tayto Park and Funtasia. A great little spot for a small family or couple. Karla had a very comfortable bed made up for our little boy and he was delighted that she had left out toy cars and blocks for him. We would definitely book again when we return to Ireland!

Spent a wonderful week at Connell’s House. All aspects from booking to leaving were perfect. Karla is a marvellous hostess, she responds quickly, she's very friendly and helpful, but not intrusive at all. The house is a delight, spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Lovely toiletries and a great welcome pack to greet us. Thank you Karla.

Karla’s property in Duleek is a lovely mix of the old and the new, tastefully decorated with attention to detail. The property is best suited for a larger group and easily accommodate the 8 adults and three young children in our group. All the instructions were clearly set out and we had no problem checking into Connell’s House. The history of the property was an added bonus and fascinating but reflective of the little touches Karla has made to make your stay both easy, comfortable and interesting. The children loved the toys and I nearly got the jigsaw puzzle finished! The property is ideally located for visiting Dublin city or the Boyne Valley historical sites. Karla was prompt with any correspondence and we appreciated the treats on arrival. Super host is well deserved as you have a gorgeous property. Thank you Karla!

Derek, UK - Connell's House

Connell’s Barn was beautiful and meticulously clean. My friend and I developed a running joke during our stay about the flawlessness of the place; pillows too fluffy, tourist info suspiciously organised, the furnishings incredulously tasteful, you get it…...Karla really went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed, her organisation and attention to detail was very much appreciated. We booked places on our trip with the mindset "we just need a place to sleep" but once we got to Karla's place we opted to utilise the sparkling kitchen to cook a few meals, lingered over tea, and even had a night in eating takeout on the couch. The beds were so comfy, on our first night we both slept 11 hours straight!!!
