FROM THE AIRPORT

Exit Dublin Airport and follow the signs for the M1 motorway going north for Belfast.
There is a toll on this motorway which costs €1.90 before junction 8. Exit the motorway at junction 8 and follow the signs for Duleek (R152).
After about five minutes look out for the right turn into Duleek Village (R150). There is a large stainless steel sculpture of a family at this right turn.
This will take you into Main Street, continue straight ahead until you see a large stone church on the right hand side, over looking the Village Green. Turn right after the church at the pedestrian crossing.
Connell’s House & Barn is located beside ‘Pat Lyons Family Butcher’ shop.

FROM DUBLIN CITY

Exit Dublin City going north following signs for the M1 motorway/Dublin Airport/aeroplane symbol signs. Once on the M1 motorway follow this road north for Belfast.
There is a toll on this motorway which costs €1.90 before junction 8. Exit the M1 motorway at junction 8 and follow the signs for Duleek (R152).

FROM THE NORTH

Take the A1 from Belfast south towards Dublin. This road will become the M1 motorway once you cross the border into the Republic of Ireland.
Exit the M1 motorway at junction 9 (note there is a toll at this junction which costs €1.90) follow the signs for Duleek (R152).

FROM THE WEST AND SOUTH

All approach roads from the West (Galway/Sligo/Limerick/Ennis) and the South (Waterford/Wexford/Cork) will meet the M50 motorway, which is the ring road around Dublin City.
Travel north towards Dublin Airport, take exit 5 from the M50 motorway for the N2/M2, sign posted Ashbourne/Slane/Derry.
Follow this road until you reach the right hand turn sign posted for Duleek village R152 (about 15 minutes).
After about eight minutes look out for the left hand turn into Duleek Village (R150). There is a large stainless steel sculpture of a family at this left turn.
This will take you into Main Street, continue straight ahead until you see a large stone church on the right hand side, over looking the Village Green. Turn right after the church at the pedestrian crossing.

Connell’s Barn is a lovely place to stay. We stayed 4 nights, it was perfect for our day trips to Newgrange & Knowth, the Wicklow Mountains, Trim Castle, Loughcrew Cairns, Howth, and Dublin city. The Barn was so clean and comfortable. Karla had a very organised and helpful box file in the Barn with local attractions and maps. The Tribe Restaurant was a superb recommendation from Karla, we had excellent food and a pleasant conversation with one of the owners of this old converted church!

Excellent stay and Karla was very proactive and helpful with her communication prior to check in. Lovely pristine cottage with everything we needed, including toys for our young son! Nice local amenities including food shops, coffee shop, takeaways, pub and restaurant within walking distance in Duleek. Only 10 minutes drive from Ballymagarvey Village, a superb wedding venue, we loved it!

Karla is a marvellous hostess, she responds quickly, she's very friendly and helpful, but not intrusive at all. The house is a delight, spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Karla’s property in Duleek is a lovely mix of the old and the new, tastefully decorated with attention to detail. The property is best suited for a larger group and easily accommodate the 8 adults and three young children in our group. All the instructions were clearly set out and we had no problem checking into Connell’s House. The history of the property was an added bonus and fascinating but reflective of the little touches Karla has made to make your stay both easy, comfortable and interesting. The children loved the toys and I nearly got the jigsaw puzzle finished! The property is ideally located for visiting Dublin city or the Boyne Valley historical sites. Karla was prompt with any correspondence and we appreciated the treats on arrival. Super host is well deserved as you have a gorgeous property. Thank you Karla!
